Tabfold

Terms of use

Effective 13 October 2026

These terms are between you and Truewidgets, a division of Loom Factor Ltd (“we”), who make Tabfold: the Chrome extension, its server, and this site. By using Tabfold you agree to them. Our privacy policy says what Tabfold keeps and how to delete it.

The service

Tabfold folds your open tabs into a list, frees the memory they used, and finds them again. Free works on your computer without an account. The paid plans add a Tabfold account, sync through Tabfold’s server, daily backups, shared folders, the AI features and teams, as the plans page in Tabfold describes.

We work to keep Tabfold reliable, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, without promises that it will always work, never lose anything, or suit a particular purpose. Keep your own copy of anything that matters: Settings › Export… saves your folded tabs as a file.

Your account

A Tabfold account is your email address, proved with a code we email you. Keep access to that email: whoever can read it can sign in. You’re responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings › “Delete my Tabfold account…”.

Plans and billing

The AI features

Pro AI suggests folders, names and answers from your tabs’ titles and sites. These are suggestions and can be wrong; check them before you rely on them. Pro AI includes 300 runs a month.

Shared folders

A shared folder is a public page: anyone with the link can see it, open its pages and save a copy, until you stop sharing. Share only what you have the right to share. Don’t use shared links to spread malware, phishing, spam, or anything illegal, harmful, or that infringes someone else’s rights. We may stop a shared link that breaks these rules, and close the account behind it.

Using Tabfold fairly

Don’t try to get into other people’s accounts or data, overload or attack the server, get around plan limits or rate limits, or resell the service. We may suspend an account that does, and we’ll tell you why when we can.

What’s yours

Your folded tabs, folders and notes are yours. You let us store, copy and send them only as needed to run Tabfold for you: syncing them, backing them up, showing a folder you shared, and the AI features you use. Tabfold itself, its name and its design are ours.

Other services

Tabfold relies on Google Chrome and Chrome sync, Stripe, Supabase, Zoho Mail, Anthropic and Vercel. Their own terms apply to what they do, and we can’t answer for them. The pages you fold belong to their owners.

Ending

You can stop using Tabfold at any time: remove the extension, and delete your account if you have one. We may change or stop parts of Tabfold. If we ever stop running Tabfold’s server, we’ll say so here and email people with an account ahead of time, so they can export their tabs; the extension keeps working on your computer without it.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows: we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost time; and our total liability to you for anything to do with Tabfold is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can’t be limited, such as liability for fraud or for death or injury caused by negligence.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll post the new version here with a new date. If a change matters to people with an account, we’ll email them before it applies. Using Tabfold after a change means you accept it; if you don’t, you can stop and delete your account.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts handle any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your own courts and laws.
